Try RB2B →RB2B in California's data broker registry
RB2B's data broker article (February 18, 2025) says RB2B is registered as a data broker in California, Texas, Vermont and Oregon. The California Privacy Protection Agency's 2026 registry file lists GETEMAILS LLC, doing business as RETENTION.COM; RB2B (registry page last updated July 29, 2026). Texas, Vermont and Oregon rest on RB2B's article alone.
The registry describes a data broker as a business that collects consumers' personal information from various sources and sells it to other companies. Registration is not approval: the Texas Secretary of State says it implies no approval or endorsement of the data broker.
Through DROP, the state's Delete Request and Opt-out Platform, California residents can send one request to all active data brokers, and brokers must process those requests from August 1, 2026. This is not legal advice: ask counsel what the law asks of your own site, and see is RB2B legal.
Security, data sources and accuracy, as RB2B states them
RB2B's FAQ says RB2B holds SOC 2 Type II certification, with documents in a trust portal. RB2B's security page says it never resells your data, which refers to the customer's own data; RB2B also states that it is registered as a data broker.
RB2B's help center says its own identity graph handles most lookups and outside data vendors only about 15% of cases. Its accuracy FAQ (January 6, 2026) says preliminary data as of January 2024 indicates a 90% accuracy rate, and it gives no method. A user can report a wrong profile from the dashboard or Slack, though RB2B says it cannot retroactively correct reported data.
Billing terms to read before paying
RB2B's terms call all payments nonrefundable. Its refund policy (September 9, 2026) is a general no-refund policy for all subscription charges, including renewals, with exceptions for billing errors, mistaken purchases and unintended charges after a plan change. Subscriptions renew automatically, and a monthly plan must be canceled before 11:59 p.m. Pacific Time the day before renewal, per the terms.
RB2B's help center says plan changes are prorated in one article and not prorated in another; assume a full charge for the new plan.
